Nasty, and exactly why I never rely on garages.Well way home was nice, brake fluid all over the rear lower drivers arm,
Garage i paid to do the pipes at mot time had routed them badly and its rubbed through on a suspension arm,
I had other stuff on and didnt have the time to do them myself or the desire to be near brake fluid,
The one thing iv ever paid out for a garage to do and well thats backfired
Thankfully being done in copper a quick couple of flares and its sorted for now

Have you checked the black box thingummy under the kick panel to the right of the steering column? Pretty sure i had to wiggle bits to make it workCancelled the MOT until I can bottom out this SRS fault. History quite clean so pointless to add a fail at this point. Spent a few quid yesterday buying some bits and bobs, missing clips, over mats etc. more to follow. Gave it a wash at 8 am before it got warm, it always looks good a shiny after.

Well, that didn't go to plan. I thought whoever referb'd the FIP had replaced the antitamper bolt. They had not. I ordered the socket (I don't have any fasteners to replace it with so didn't want to drift on a regulat socket) and just cleaned up everything on and around the FIP so while I drive around until next weekend I can pin point where the leak is and try again. Lesson learnt, stop assuming things. Every job I've done over the last year or so required me postponing work while I buy the tool I need.Started the FIP seal replacement. All bulbs replaced and checked. All connectors cleaned. Apparently the srs has a self check system and doesn’t log error codes. Hence why wiggling a wire can temp solve the issue.Maybe the second bulb in the clocks has failed?

Ahha, I thought it was just recently. Hopefully they wouldn't say it had shifted and rubbed against the arm, even though it shouldn'tTo be honest re the brake pipe, i did notice the wet rear arm and wheel i guess not far from it starting and it was pin hole still had a fairly decent pedal and thankfully able to keep a good distance and have a fully working handbrake incase
If the motor had been tested like it had most its life its been 6-7k miles between mots i dare say it would have been noticed sooner mabye, iv done 24k, its done more miles with me then it has in 4 years previously,
Iv done the rear break shoes and rear pads and changed all toe and camber bits and wheels was recently and iv never noticed myself either,
Maybe could drop by and mention it as a by the way or im not being a bugger but that was also 10months ago,
Ah well, got the tool on the way now. Can add to the collection of tools I've assembled for jobs I won't be doing all that often. Assume that is the same as kunifer? What I always used when I was a civvie VM. Bit harder to manipulate but would outlive the car.Cupronickel better than copper.
