Got a fully operational hevac unit tonight! I'm quite excited!! No more book symbol, but i expect it's gone on holiday, not emigrated.
Next up, get the ac working!!! Need a condenser

Hella. The price from my local place was same as Island but they're a known distributor (Island aren't and when I spoke to Hella they wondered where they were from) and the quality was spot on, unlike the Island one that looked like it had been sat on and was rhomboid.

Fixed a puncture.

On moving the car though there was an almighty thump from the rear. Reversing the rear seats actually moved. Same thump in forward and reverse as soon as I started moving. ****. Asked the missus if she had heard or felt anything when she drove it: no. So just happened. Might be lucky. Put car on stands and got underneath expecting broken UJ or yoke. Nope, it was fine. Handbrake shoes? No, they were fine. Transfer box seemed to turn with no issues. Backlash on diff was a bit looser than new but bot that bad. Checked half-shafts into hubs and they're all fine. Radius arms and all other bushes fine. Shocks and air-springs fine. Gave up, dropped her back to the ground and opened the boot. There was a ****ing large gas cylinder in there, free to roam that full has a fair bit of weight and had been thumping into the boot and rear seats. Took it out and all fixed. FFS.

On the hunt for a permanent live in the boot, i thought there was supposed to be one for the 12s trailer socket, but the only connector i can find is for 12n. Search on here suggests another connector, any clues?

On mine it is passenger side through light-cluster panel door thingy. I put a power point in the boot for compressors and solar panel.
