Must be the time of year. I had to replace my control box about a week or so ago.
The stuff i use buddy is in the spray can and of the Tetroseal brand. Been using it for many years and never had an issue. Being in a can you get far better control over where you spray it too making the process a whole lot less of a chore and more of a satisfying feeling when done.Isn't waxoil the water based stuff?
what does everyone think? I'm not cutting the existing plug off, so just splice into the existing wires, or am I asking for trouble?Gah! It's too cold to think about splicing wires!! Fingers don't want to work, will have to leave it for another day! I do need to get the solar connected though.. and figure out why the battery drains so quick.
Nice and clean and looks like it was worth the effort. I have also just fitted new headlight wiper blades which i imagine often get overlooked.Got the interior all back in and looking good after being scrubbed clean while out of the car. She does scrub up well! Just need to sort the leather.

I've no clue what the plug type is to buy the other half, I can take a pic...Why splice when you have a perfectly good plug.
Can you not get a plug to fit or connector's to plug into individual points in the plug? with the aid of a matchstick
What does the plug look like?

Removed the old rusty exhaust system which was stamped Landrover so its possible it could have been the original system from new maybe. Had to cut the rear Y pipe to get it out as the joint was rusted solid. The rest came off easy. Just waiting for the new front CAT pipe to arrive and then i can fit it all. In the mean time i will clean under side and wax oil it all.
Every little helps buddy. So, while waiting for other parts to be delivered (thermostat, oil, etc) and seeing the face looking a bit weathered with the new wiper blades on.. Decided to give it a wee tickle with the rattle cans. I'd normally take them off to do a proper job but one of the bolts was threaded so didn't want to risk it (job when the weather is better). Does make a difference!
