What did you do with your Range Rover today

Used a keyfob refurb kit. Nice having a button that doesn't look like a chewed on it. Changed the batteries since I had the back open. I really should order a new spare key though. One key is a nightmare.

got it, I use my bus as my first car. Granted most of my driving is on short trips. (working from home). My backup car is a volvo with a Ford engine and Mazda suspension! Awful car! My old omega beats the Volvo for comfort hands down, same as the green bus really!

Omega a superb car. The ride is luxurious. I had the V6 (had 2 over the years) and still miss them. Replaced with an s-type which is also lovely but in a different way. XJ8 engine is sublime and the steering so precise and intuitive it is a dream to drive. Ride is slightly harsher though.
 
Broke the offroaders first rule and didn't check how deep the snow was before barrelling into it to turn round.
Result, beached RR. Up to wade height, and a bit of rocking and out she came.
 
Started it today no problem after 10 days - and realised that the faulty drivers door lock actuator was the reason I've had so many problems with flat batteries.

All done it. I pulled onto the verge in the peak district one winter. What I didn't know (not being local) was that there was a ditch there but the drifting snow made it look flat. 2 wheels in and 1 side was up above the rubber trim on the doors. Dug the snow away from the buried side and reversed out with a bit of rocking. All part of the fun!
 
Started her up, drove out the drive, turned her round, drove into the drive, opened the bonnet, put on the jump leads and used her to start the Volvo. Then reversed her out of the drive parked her up, moved the Volvo to the garage, then put the Golden Girl back on the drive.
Only difficulty was getting into garage , as neighbour's new fence is causing slight issues. However, loads of forward a bit , wheel left hand down, back a bit , right hand down, repeat, repeat, repeat, I got the Volvo in her bed and wrapped up warm, for the next couple of months.
All in all, a succesful endeavour :)
 
Why is it so bloody difficult to take the back off the back of the key fob to replace the battery's? one back is chewed up, so I cant get that to even turn now, the other turned but it wont come off, ,its still not done!!!
 
Pulling the back off is the problem now, was thinking of putting a self tapping screw into it, but there's a battery under there
 
Feeling Deja vu. Spent today stripping the engine back down to change the timing chains. I swear after this work it will be back into regular use but I'm not so sure anyone else believes that at the moment!

Out of interest, why did BMW choose to attach absolutely everything to the timing chain cover!
