Got to car tonight in work car park only to find remote unlock didn't work. Both fobs recently refurbished and LED was flashing but to no effect from any angle/location. Uh-oh - flat battery? Gingerly opened drivers door with key, lights were in off position and ignition barrel was illuminated so key in ignition and turned... Click of central locking as other doors unlocked and... she started perfectly as always! Didn't dare turn off, so waited until I got home - locks and unlocks on the fob perfectly now.

'She' is definitely female... :scratching_chin:

Fitted 2000 model rear lights :biggrin1: ( look soooo much better than the original orange ones!!) Changed diff oil, replaced gearbox filter and oil, was very puzzled when undoing sump plug that only a drip came out !! Thinking to myself how is the car diving without any gearbox oil? i undid the filler plug which then proceeded to dump oil all over the drive!!! found the magnet in the sump sat squarely over the drain hole!! All back together now and seems to be driving fine. will be checking oil level again in the morning, when i grease the props!! Hope its not raining!!:)

Greased her props, finally got round to drilling out the rear bumper bolt that i sheared off last year while fitting a tow bar, bumper is nice and straight again!!! Fitted a new bulb to the collar around the ignition switch, lights up at last! Sprayed the light guards and grill matt black, sure looks better than the various shades of grey they were! :)
All in all a productive day, and a lovely day it was for a bit of tinkering, now for a well deserved beer or two :beer2:
