What did you do with your Range Rover today

Does the LPG not switch back to petrol when empty? The only time i know when mine has run out is because it bleeps & flashes at me.
 
Mine doesn't! It got to the point where it would tick over but any application of the throttle would almost stall it. Switching back over to petrol and everything was cool again, which was a huge relief. :)
 
Mine does the same. Loud beeps until I switch it over. Usually on acceleration or corners.

Too true, I often do a weekly run from Sheffield to London & if i take it easy i get there & back on a full tank of LPG (85ltrs) can guarantee the hard bend 2 miles from home will set my LPG indicator beeping - it's a good test of my MPG though.

Speedy, what system do you have installed, i though this should be a standard feature of any Sequential LPG system?
 
Its a Zavoli sequential system. I'm planning on getting it serviced next month so will ask about that.

I'd ask about that at the service. I would of thought it should definately switch over to petrol when it runs out of gas.
 
I have a zavoli. It does switch back to petrol. It also beeps. If yours isn't switching back my first guess would be a faulty pressure switch. The level leds are pants mine falls quickly then stays on red for yonks. I must get the zavoli software and recalibrate it
 
Quick visit to Halfords, £129 and 15 minutes poking around with wires in the car park later (I couldn't wait to get home!) - I drove home listening to the music collection on my Samsung S3, I also picked up a call using the car stereo as a handsfree kit. It sounds great, everything is working (apart from the steering wheel controls of course) sub woofer, panning and fading. I bought Halford's own Sonichi DB50X which is a CD, MP3, DAB, USB and Bluetooth player with built in Bluetooth hands-free - cracking value.
 
I've got a bluetooth thingy hooked up to the stock HiFi, the thing that annoys me most is that when you turn the ignition on it activates and the phone hooks up, but when you start the engine it kills power to everything else and the phone doesn't seem to pick it up automatically again. I dont know if this is the phone or the cheap bluetooth interface though. How does this work with a bluetooth head unit? Does it drop the connection when you start the engine?

I'll have to try that and get back to you - I connected my phone with the engine already running as I had the aircon going.
 
Took it to York to do some shopping for bits and bobs, well more dragged around and agreed to pay for things.

Came back home and not a fault between. Turns out my brakes are spot on too. I was doing dual carriage way speeds when someone pulled across my nose and came to a stand still. I forgot how well these things stop for 2.5 ton of metal.

Then went past two families who's holidays has clearly been ruined, one only had 3 wheels on their wagon, the 4th was in the embedded in the other cars windscreen.
 
Went and brimmed the LPG tank for the next 10 days - £38.11 :D:D:D

(What's that saying again - champagne lifestyle on beer money? :cool:)
