What did you do with your Range Rover today

Went to the Mopar Muscle Car meeting at Brooklands....

In the car park was a P38 with RRS side vents and L322 front end, looked fecking awful, so I cheered myself up by ogling the Plymouth AAR Barracuda instead

I had an annoying misfire the same as you. I changed the coil pack too.Made no difference. I finally found out it was the camshaft. One of the lobes had worn down so the exhaust valve was not operating.

Put mine to work pulling the Horse box. Just by me is a very steep hill leading on to the forest. I've never had any difficulties getting up it (even in a 1600 1972 VW Camper). Stuck halfway up was a diesel Disco. It also had a horse box on the back but was carrying two rather big 17 hands plus Horses. Looked like it had lost the will to live. Was belching lots of smoke every time they tried to pull away. Got about 3 foot and ground to a halt. By the time I got there everything on the Disco was read hot. I couldn't really help as i had a box on also. I told them to let it cool down then maybe unload one of the horses. No good trying to go backwards it's really twisty. Not sure what they did but they were gone by the time we came back through. I can still see the envy in there eyes as I just pulled away after stopping halfway up no bother.

Went for a drive and had a good laugh when I pulled in behind a new looking, white, gaylander with the reg El JOK. Although did think it would have been even better on an ejoke :lol:

Gave the beast a good clean. And a guy stopped to ask if I wanted to sell it and how much. Told him to make me an offer. :sly:

Peered under the bonnet to check the coolant level and scope out the ABS accumulator location in prep for replacing it this week.

Accumulator next on my list. Kicks in every 2nd / 3rd press now & takes approx 30secs to go out on first start. Think Island are selling for £80+vat

Yep, got the part sat at home waiting, was £97 all in from island 4x4 which was the cheapest I could find.

Mine is coming on every other press right now so hoping ill see a nice improvement once I fit it.

Piece of **** to change - quicker than taking a **** at my age actually.

Is the accumulator easy to undo or do you need something like a chain wrench.

Only need a spanner ( don't remember size ) but make sure you depressurise the system first pump your brake pedal about 30 times

Got that cheers. Didn't realise there was a nut on it....will have a look later.

With the engine and ignition OFF....

Just dropped it off for its MOT , so we'll wait and see.

Friend arrived with a Seat Leon, went to leave, they used the remote to unlock and the fecking P38 unlocked at the same time?

I don't know, we could not repeat it. Just a coincidence with the rolling code I guess.

Fitted new centre bits to wheels - replacing those extracted and eaten by cash wash at weekend!

Still enjoying the quietness of a new rear diff
