Its the staff, changing from forward to reverse without throttling back or hitting tree stumps, stripped the teeth from the plastic??cog in the gearbox. They will work all day even if you bolt more tynes on them
Nice! So the ring on the right you bought in Hereford market? The previous owner sent me the 2nd key today, which was nice
one on the left came with that keyring lol
Still on the search to cure the intermittant noise from underneath. A bit like something stuck in a brake disk but not as squeally more grindy, road speed related, when it happens it will do it out of gear even.
Anyway, stripped the H'brake today, though I had already backed off the adjuster by a notch. I was hoping to find a busted return spring or something, what I did find was that the adjuster locating bolts were only just nipped up, all grease was dried and sticky. Everything removed, cleaned and regreased, adjusted and road tested and the fecking noise is still there. Very gently applied a bit of pressure on the h'brake while in motion, no difference to the noise.
Think I shall have to strip the brakes and see if I can find anything wrong.
I bloody hope not.Diff bearing?
Just a thought but could you get mrs frog hopper to drive you about a bit, you sit in the back etc - see if you can narrow down to front/back left/right if the noise is louder there ?I bloody hope not.
But thanks for the thought anyway.
Unfortunately senior management does not drive vehicles.Just a thought but could you get mrs frog hopper to drive you about a bit, you sit in the back etc - see if you can narrow down to front/back left/right if the noise is louder there ?
There must be someone you trust ? (Not me if I were you)Unfortunately senior management does not drive vehicles.
No DMF thank feck, but they do have a VCU which I found was seized while faffing about in the hunt. So replaced that, hopefully in the nick of time. There must be someone you trust ? (Not me if I were you)
I haven't found a thread with all the list but know you've redone most of it - you can't be far off now
Do classics have a DMF?
They'll settle down by Monday when they need more stuff moving for next weeks push. Unless they know you borrowed their pegs!
Sticks and stones won't get their s**t where they want it on timeWell I have kept my job, they told the contractor they wont get another driver from us if they dont want me lol
