Really , I took mine off I just see them as water traps leading to rust and those grandad steps They came straight off to:):)
You're looking at £200+ for a set of flaps. You could sell yours and have enough to buy floormats plus change.

Yesterday the suspension was sorted!!! and 2day the wife cleaned it, I like to give her perks now and then to show how much I love her

Did my good samaritan bit today, stopped to help a stricken RRS which had blown, or should I say exploded a front tyre (looked to me like it should've been changed some time ago!!).

The guy was trying to lift it with a scissor jack the size of one that came as standard kit in an austin metro I used to have!! 5 mins with the hydraulic bottle jack from the back of my P38 and he was on his way again.

Do the RRS' only have these ickly jacks??? and is my bottle jack standard for P38? Hadn't used it before but quite impressed :)

mine has a smallish scissor jack as standard that slots into the jacking points underneath the car.

has no issues with lifting the weight of the car with ease :)

I drove it today with the radio nice and loud .
And I though to myself sod it , if its going to go it will!

I wonder how long this train of though will last ?

today was quite productive. replaced the drivers arm rest and recovered it with the correct colour cover, re programmed the becm with the correct eka code, and the correct fob code, re synced the key fob ,fitted the new rf reciever (£190 robin bastids) and at last the central locking works from the fob from half way down the road in stead of only if you pressed the remote up against the rear side window. As an aside , number one son has just rejoined the range rover fraternity with a 1995 p38 4.6hse with lpg . let the games begin :D

Replaced the heater o-rings for the first time. Did it by taking the dash out and replaced the blend motors while I was there as I kept getting the book symbol on the HEVAC controls.

The old o-rings weren't even like plastic anymore, if you moved them at all they would just snap.

Went to a car boot sale and had fun playing in the mud :D:D:D:D

Also had a chuckle at the guy in a Cayenne who got stuck. And the guy who managed to turn his 5 series estate around in the gap he was parked in.

All in all a good morning. Grabber AT2's had no problems. Did get TC light appear, so I know that works. :):)

Filled it up with diesel from my van using the hose pipe method as we have traded it in for a c3 and I'm not giving away a tank of diesel .

It doesn't taste nice by the way!
