I don't know if it was updated or not. Probably my first big mistake.

But the new part arrived and is installed, but now I have a new problem. When idling/low revs I have what sounds like metal on metal. It goes away when I get above 1k which suggests to me the new pulley isn't set right. D:

Successful day!

Changed therocker cover gasket slight weep .
It was a bit of a bugger, the foam in the bulkhead gets in the way and there is a semicircle section in the gasket that is awkward to locate right at the back of the cover.

The main leak was a hole in the turbo outlet pipe spraying all over the exhust manifold .
On further inspection I had to loosen the turbo clamp in order to move the turbo pipe away from the manifold . Job well done no leaks no smells anymore horay:)

Hmm think I have to change my serpentine belt, has some cracks in it, but I think I have a spare in the boot, will have a look when I get the willing to go out and look :D feeling lazzzzy 2day

Is there a separate belt for the a/c on a 2.5 Diesel? , I found the belt so will do it 2morrow, you just have to take the cowling off from the top dont you? (I know about the tensioner)

Four hours of man therapy later, the result speaks for itself.....now, where's the nearest muddy field?

Aircon belt is separate, Getting the cowl off depends on year, mines one piece and the fan need to come off to remove it:mad:

I shut up my bosses demands for me to replace my RR with something more "reliable". I said the only thing I'd replace it with is a 04/05 WRX and since insurance would be in the region of 2k a year I'd need a pay rise to fund it. He has decided my RR is fine.

Iv just bought myself a new front bumper so I can get rid of the foam thingy, which the cats have clawed and ice and snow have had ther way with now it's all split and is a right state.
