What did you do with your Range Rover today

@MrGorsky : your lumpy running when the tank starts to get low on your v8 ... doesn't your car have that carbon canister thing to catch fumes and then release them into the intake to purge it when running? If the valves on that are jamming could that cause a partial vacuum in the tank if always shut or even cause it to run rich if always open?

Finally found a place that'll replace my FIP (Steve Dart Classic Land Rovers for anyone in the south west), but found out Diesel Jones haven't carried the FIP since 2016, so dunno who you all dealt with, but they wanted nothing to do with me. But did get wished good luck on my hunts.
Luckily I found CN4x4 who do have freshly refurbished FIPs, so once I get that in my hands, off she goes to Steve and my fuel dramas are over. Then I can work on all the rest of them.

Finally the reversing sensors turn off with trailer connected! Result
What was the fix? I actually reversed my 2011 with a trailer connected last night and realised that the PDC didn't detect it and howl at me which was really nice but I'm sureI've got the CCF configured the same in my 2009 and my friend's D4 but they never disable the sensors. Especially annoying for them with just a bike rack there!

There's 2 settings in the ccf.. something like towbar attachment and towbar module.. or something like that

This is the list from Gap. I think I better check the options on mine that works properly against the ones that don't.

Today, I just gave it a good clean inside, hope for a warm weekend might wax it for winter protection, what have you been up to?
Carried on wiring the td5 into my 2 door..fun and games, this fiddly stuff just takes ages! Putting the engine and box in seemed so much quicker. Throttle pedal went in yesterday, ecu, injection pump wiringetc today.

Carried on wiring the td5 in.. it runs!! Sounds sweet. Still wiring and mount the fuel pump if rain holds off..

Ps i know not allowed to sell on here but now only 46 posts to go

Well that's new
Bought some new (bosch!!) wipers.. but no attachments in the box so they can't be fitted :(
Sorted.. Found some bits i took off the old old set of wipers 'just in case'.. bit battered and cracked but they work
For reference

Repaired the non functioning window switch and discovered I have a left recirculation motor fault logged in the HEVAC. That's not going to get fixed anytime soon as it looks like it's a bugger to get at.
Yes it's a difficult one.
If you unclip from the back of the hvac unit then you can flash the relevant wires with a battery. Might be enough to move it from its stuck position.
Worked for me!! Though i used 12v from the cig lighter.. before i knew you were supposed to used 9v.. didn't do it any harm though
