Oh my god, sorry. Not good news on that front. They think I have a TBI, being referred to Stanford Hall for further checks. If I have baked my swede then I am likely getting an MD and dementia in my near future.

On the P38 front. The UJ they sent me is shot. One end cap has mismatched bearings in it so it doesn't roll. Plus the grease was packed with corrosion in that cap, so something tells me this part has been tampered with in the past. So now I need to try and get it exchanged.

JFC. Of all the things that could have happened over the years. Well, fingers crossed that doesn't materialise

And the UJ is just typical. I actually wrote a letter complimenting a firm recently because the guy not only spotted I had messed up the order and rang to check it was correct but then got it seamlessly to me the next day when I hadn't even paid for next day delivery. Order was perfect when it arrived. I was actually surprised by good service!

People who put on the brakes as soon as they see headlights? Prob the most irritating thing driving at night when the car in front is flashing brake lights at you

They cannot see, that's why. I am told it is worse wearing spectacles because of the glare or something. Still does my head though.

Never had a problem with standard tungsten lights and I used to do a lot of night driving.
Sealed beams were rubbish, with low light output, but they didn't have a dipped beam hard cut off and the filament didn't go anywhere near the blue end to hamper eye focus and add glare. Result, you can see more in all conditions than with a modern brighter lamp

I use yellow safety glasses at night, car and bike, as it takes the glare and dazzle out of headlights and modern brake lights. So then easier to try to read the road on the spill from the oncoming lights rather than just have burned out retinas.
I frustrate people with my speed sometimes, but mostly when the 125 backup bike is only pulling 50 in the 60 against a headwind with the throttle on the stop.

Blue is bad for the eyes. Again, never had a problem with sealed beam units although I thought they were stupid having to replace the whole unit for s failed filament. If you cannot see at night without ridiculously bright lights, maybe you should not be driving at night.

Its got a light that stays on to show there's a trailer attached,
Nice touch as the old td6 didnt have with the same bar or electrics as they tell you on the dash when a trailer lights out,
But wow what a massive improvement using the 4.2 to tow with, granted its only been 1.5ton approx but with the td6 you always noticed it would rev slighty more and feel it on the set off, this ones like nothings there at all
