I was referring to your crash-injuries although I realise it isn't Range Rover related!
Oh my god, sorry. Not good news on that front. They think I have a TBI, being referred to Stanford Hall for further checks. If I have baked my swede then I am likely getting an MD and dementia in my near future.

On the P38 front. The UJ they sent me is shot. One end cap has mismatched bearings in it so it doesn't roll. Plus the grease was packed with corrosion in that cap, so something tells me this part has been tampered with in the past. So now I need to try and get it exchanged.

i've read the l322 has 'trailer stability assist' to apply brakes and stop sway. but i've seen lots of posts around the web saying you only have this if you have surround cameras
surely this is not right?

According to the owners manual, battery on an l322 must be disconnected before charging. I call bollix on that. It's ok to jump start with less to another car and a maintainer should be connected for diag work.
Me thinks they are covering themselves

The problem for JLR is that they have no control over what type of charger might be connected. Some old types have high no load voltages. A smart charger connected to the battery before connecting to the mains is no more dangerous than an alternator.:)
