When we did Otto's heads / gaskets, I just undid all the head to manifold bolts and left the complete exhausts supported in the bay. I can imagine that would be a little trickier with the whole set of lumps coming out though.

So you took your heads off to change your plugs:p:D.

No seriously it’s a spares car that has a 15-20k top hat linered engine. Peeps keep trying to buy it off the drive so it’s time to take off the good bits:).
Cos I have a use for them:D,by the time I have finished may even have a set of electric memory seats in the BBQ area:D.

To add.
Taking the whole lump out means removing the front section of exhaust and the jointing “Y” piece and gearbox crossmember.

Sounds like you need the e-mail address of the garage so you can explain to them;).

I think I found their email. I just need to time 30 mins to sit down and type out an email that doesn't sound like I am being condescending, but that I have doubts about what they are doing.

About 5 miles into my journey, had to stop in one of those yellow areas on M4 !! I suspect I have a slow overnight tank leak, and EAS Pump was taking forever this morning. Was getting the refurbished spare from boot ready to swap it, when I heard the pump finish filling. Was ok for the remaining 15 miles, but might change the pump before heading home.

[Update] Took pump out after dinner & tested with gauge on bench. It was just about making 30psi via 15" airline to gauge !! Spare from car boot checked & putting out 180psi easily. All sorted, and also found my other spare which is now in boot just in case !!
