No, I'm trying to pluck up the courage to fit it to mineAre you trying to sell this unit my matey??
I understand Keith. It is a big jobNo, I'm trying to pluck up the courage to fit it to mine
Henry b's valve block bolt tightening has improved the flaring between 2 & 3 dramatically, wish I had known about it sooner, might have saved the clutch.I understand Keith. It is a big job
Does the box slip at all Keith?Henry b's valve block bolt tightening has improved the flaring between 2 & 3 dramatically, wish I had known about it sooner, might have saved the clutch.
No, not at all, just the lazy shift 2 to 3 which I drive round by doing a slight lift when I know it's going to shift. It tows fine even with that other P38 on the hook. Lukas transmission fix helped a lot but gave hard shifts 3 to 4. Since the Henry b bolt tightening with one oil change and no transmission fix it's perfect when cold and much better when hot than it was. I plan to do a second oil change in spring.Does the box slip at all Keith?
Humidity in the fluid, needs fresh fluid. Had that exact problem on my MR2, new fluid and it's fineSo you don’t have wet feet and have to top the coolant up now and again?
Been for spin. On startup clutch has little pressure hard to get gears in. After a run it’s fine gotta be air in there somewhere
I flushed and bled the brakes so that’s new, could be the old fluid in the clutch part. Bleed it out is the answer I think, too cold today though
Transfix ups the viscosity of the ATF which in turn ups the line pressure to help with worn clutches, however as it says on the can it won't fix a totally worn out box..I used a trannyfix. It made the box awful as if it was sticky... I rinced it all out. Right then, I'm going out for a run.
Catch up with you later, have a good day Keith
What did you do to it?I wish I hadn't touched that bloody valve section..... So the flare has gone but now slowing right down to a near stop and the box shunts and a clatter from the running gear..... So.. I've got strip the valve unit out and check that the retaining spring clips aren't catching on any of the three shuttles..... Fu ked off isn't near my sentiment right now
I have to wait until next Sunday as the ramp is packed this week......
