What did you do with your Range Rover today

Computer on Otto doesn't appear to work - don't know if it is switched off in the system or something duff in the supply side. But judging by fill ups we did and distances he was nudging 20mpg, mostly gently driven but variable running, with the blow gasket making him a 3 litre V6. Looking forward to seeing what he does all working but the flu jab today has wiped us out for the day. Hope for more productive times tomorrow.

I think you can enable and disable with Nanocom. Need the buttons on the stalk, obviously.

Dropped the engine oil and filter.
Did the gearbox oil, dropped the forward most part of the valve block to check for dirt and debris.
Pretty clean after 230.000mls.
Tightened all the bolts on the block and sub plate to 8nm. Some where at little backed off but not much. I'll test drive it cold tomorrow and see about the flaring through 2nd - 3rd. It may just be a tired box after all.
Adjusted the heights in low profile and standard as it sat down a little on the right. Just one bit up at the rear right cured it. Fingers crossed tomorrow brings some results. I also changed the oil from mannol to Avia 86. Dex2 of course. I got 6.4ltrs out of the box.
It was a scary thing doing the forward most valve block. A small check ball and three cupped washers, a. 35' and two. 40' washers.... Back together as it should be... Phew.... The pump is doing a great job sauf the added noise... But that's what the stereo is for

Mine drops to 8-11mpg towing a fully laden cattle trailer (3.5) around farm lanes, however on the open road it gets to around 15mpg..

I'm expecting my trailer (1 ton) with my XJ40 on it (1.8 ton) so around 2.8 ton give or take to get 14-16 on the motorway at 55'ish.
22mpg on a long run towing a trailer with my newly acquired project car on the back. No motorway and plenty of hills:D

Dex II? should be Dex III surely?. Tightening the valve block bolts made a big improvement in the 2/3 flaring on mine

You could always rebuild it yourself ;)
Morning enners, I did consider this tbh, what about the sprag clutch? If I could get all the parts I'd rebuild the box I've got in the scrapper. The whole ordering parts from the uk is getting stupidly expensive.. I ordered a regulator for my Pcp air rifle from lane regulators. Marked up as £22 on the delivery slip and I got charged 13€ import tax... Effing rip off.. I'd love an hp22 with the modified torque converter but not if I pay a tax like that on it....

You need an HP 24. The one in the scrapper may not need a rebuild.

project what??? Ahem... Pictures please young mano_O
I have posted pictures of my P38 towing the trailer with the project car onboard, I can't re-post at the moment because that is one of the files I lost when my XP computer threw a wobbly.:( I might have the photo's on my phone so I will see if I can get them back on the computer. I told a lie about the mpg loaded, it was a little bit under 22mpg
