What did you lose it for? In 14yrs you shouldn't have accumulated enough points!Too think about it iv only held a licence 12 years (passed 14 years ago)
Got a heafty ban 10 years ago, young and daft, only ever had 3 points on my licence. And that was before the ban,What did you lose it for? In 14yrs you shouldn't have accumulated enough points!

i might have missed something.. are you missing the idiot lights or the backlighting? does the digital bit light up?The only option I see for fixing these instrument cluster lights is either a new indicator stalk or a new BECM. Because I have tested everything and everything reads back as being fine. All I can think is I have until Feb 2022 to sort this before the MOT is due. Talk about being fed up.

The backlighting so the speedo etc. can be seen. Right now all we can see is the below:
(not my pic)
Ignore the arrows and the instrument ring things. This was the only pic I could find quickly. All of the warning lights etc in the bottom still work as does the LCD screen. It's the rest we can't see and I have done pretty much everything to get it to light up but it won't.
Its 5 in Rotherham as well fortunately the site manager drives a Disco so is very understanding when I have done my oil changeGot a bit more to get rid of now, transfer box and front and rear diff.
so its 'just' the backlighting so you can see the dials at night
Is it possible to put sperate feed and switch in to make them light up. Just a thoughtYes and as I say I have tested everything, so really there is no reason why it shouldn't be working.

There are better guys than me with electrics on this site but surely must be someway to run a wire from the light switch to back lights so when switch turns they feed the lights and make them come on. Hopefully some one will read this and come up with suggestions for youI wouldn't even know how to do that even if it was possible. Talk about frustrating. Yesterday we pulled everything off the dash through to the centre armrest and sprayed every connection with contact cleaner and gave it a couple of hours to dry. Made no difference at all. I knew it was a Hail Mary throw but it was the last thing we could think of.
