don't get me started on cyclists 99% of them are total bell ends that don't have a clue what the highway code is let alone that it is the law that they follow it! i nearly collected one in my car the other night riding along on a racer lycra and pointy 'i think i'm an olympian' hat national speed limit, i was doing around about 55mph this tw@t turns across the front of me into a side road (crossing my side of the road coming in the opposite direction) if it hadn't been for my quick reactions avoiding him he would have been dead, i must have missed his back wheel by 2"!

and as said before none of them do any observations when performing manoeuvres there should be a test before people are allowed on the roads on a bike!

In general i don't have a problem with Cyclists,I do have a problem with the ****s that think they are Lance ****ing Armstrong. Read the highway code you ****s! You are not allowed to ride two abreast and you don't own the road.

Another thing that annoys me is this - A24 - Google Maps

Where would YOU ride a bike? On the dual carrageway or, on the ****ing cycle path that runs next to it?:doh:

I belive that all Cylists should have 3rd party insurance and a Registration plate.

by the looks of things this guy goes out looking for trouble, he has a few close calls with pedestrians maybe he needs to be more respectful to other road users and the highway code.

Nothing annoys me more than cyclists, especially at busy times of the day or on busy roads when they insist on using the road when there's a perfectly good cycle path been built for them no more than 3 feet from them,
but especially as a Hgv driver you can spend at least 3-6 mins waiting for a big enough gap to get out and past them only to get 300 meters down the road to the lights or junction and they know it was hard for u to get past but they then use the cycle path to under take the traffic to then rejoin the road once they back at the front of the que.
****ing tossers

When I was a teenager I rode a bikes on the roads. I was very aware of cars etc, and always looked round to see what was coming. Especially if pulling out in to the middle of the road to overtake a parked car, or turn right.

It’s cyclists like him who go out to capture trouble, or at least go out of their way to cause a situation where they can defend or dominate their position, which annoys me the most. He has an anger problem to say the least. Probably bullied at school too.

Whilst driving I always give cyclists the room they need. Regardless of me having the right of way as a cyclist, my rule of thumb was if in doubt, keep out the way. It worked for me. Getting knocked off yer bike is too easily done.

Cyclists are entitled to use the roads, whether or not there are cycle paths/lanes nearby. (A 'mandatory' cycle path is one where it is mandatory for motor vehicles to stay out of them, and not, as is commonly misconstrued, mandatory that cyclists use them.)

The video guy is known about in hard core cycling circles, and is generally viewed by them as an asshole who goes out looking for 'incidents' to 'document'.
"Hard core cycling" ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, thats made my day, and its actually been pretty good all day but the concept of hard core cycling just cracks me up..

This reminds me of a few years ago when I took my son to the pub he worked at on a major trans pennine road, it was early evening and nice and sunny, there was a huge bunch (collective noun for cyclists?) of them filling the carriageway, 5 or 6 abreast on a busy road where the traffic is normally doing 60 mph. So son leans out of the car window as we pass and hurls abuse at them more or less suggesting they should get in single file. Son starts his shift at the pub and his first customers ............. the same bunch of cyclists.

You need bull bars!!!:D:D:D

I cycle daily in London. Of course you can't trust other road users not to do the odd daft thing - that's why you pay attention and don't get all self righteous when someone causes you a bit of angst. I wonder what he does in his spare time? Gives the staff in Tesco a hard time for selling spaghetti that's below the required EU minimum length?
