Vibration from drivetrain when driving at 50+

It does. I'll try and film it if I can but as I said it will still travel in a straight line with no wandering if I let go

yup, but if the wheel moves, then something has to be moving it.

you did your panhards didn't you? threads too big to remember

I know that's what's confusing me. Yeah they're good. I've driven it without a panhard rod so I know what it feels like

if it was the swivel moving about, then can't you jack up a wheel and shake it up and down, and left and right and see if the wheel moves?

actually, you might need both wheels jacked up

I checked for play in the swivels a few weeks ago and there's none whatsoever. In fact I didn't check for play, a land rover mechanic at work did while I watched him lol

well something must be moving about or the wheel wouldn't wobble :scratching_chin:

so you replaced the bushes.. have you reunder worn bolts giving it some slop?

also, this isn't related to you stripping your wheel threads is it?

Nope all brand new bolts and nuts. The old ones were done anyway.

I want to say no but I can't rule it out. I've never had a problem with either wheel since replacing the studs so I think it was just loose nuts. I have spring retainers on now so no chance of them loosening on their own

It's not being thrown around though lol. The a frame balljoint is new and I've had no other problems from the back end. It's only through the steering that its felt with a general vibration through the motor when it happens. Somethins ####ed lol I know that. I just don't know what

It won't be but I don't think this is related. It is awfully coincidental that it started when I put new wheels and tyres on but as I said I had them balanced, swapped back to front, changed the wheels and I've still got it. Only recurring factor there is the tyres but I've had this exact same type and size on before and they've been fantastic, Lassa 7.5x16. Why would they cause a shudder and vibration through the steering only at motorway speeds and why would it come and go every few seconds

If it's still there by then, which I hope it won't be. Getting new wheels put on tommorow so ill get them to mix the tyres around and balance the **** out of them but I'm not gonna hold my breath

Yup, front prop is fine and I've always made sure that's set properly. It's never been changed so wouldn't have just shown up randomly. I've driven with the front prop off and with rear prop off and it still does it
