Very bad service from Paddock Spares

I'm sorry to hear of the original poster's difficulties, but I've always had good service from 'em. They gave me a very prompt refund the other day when a part I'd ordered wasn't in stock. They're good for all those little bits and pieces too - bolts, nuts, gaskets, grommets, washers, knobs - as well as more substantial items. Obviously, it helps if you can do a bit of work yourself and find out an actual part number before ordering, rather than 'oh it's off a Defender, about 1998 I think' which is bound to lead to frustration.

Another one in praise of Paddocks. Never had a problem with them. Even had returns refunded promptly. They are cheap so remember you get what you paid for......

Really I not understand the words remember you get what you paid for@ What you means because there are cheaper is the excuse for bad services. I no say nothing about quality of Materials but services is and other ....
That remember me my company get my electronics GPS trackers and CCTV from china. The seam selling here 4 times more expensive no idea way because after customs the price is really nothing. But if the shop say take 2 weeks delivery to my address I expect that frame time. And I expect the Item I buy . But here 100 miles from my address I need to wait a month or possible more and very possible the item is the item I not order.

Really what poor excuse "you get what you paid for" I pay for item in the shop and I expect delivery in the seam week in perfect working order.

That is the real problem in UK not one accomplish the standards for commerce have the EU and here for every one is normal that issues. Very possible one of the reasons the economy of this country and the industry go down.

Possible people need to come back to the Victorian times to understand a little more about what I am talking :monitor_punch:

I've always had good service from Paddocks but the parts are cheap so don't expect the best quality. Go there with your eyes open and I don't think you will be disappointed.

I`ve not had any probs with paddocks , only time I got wrong bit was my fault.I put wrong no. down ,so I have spare front ex. pipe that I will need some time.as said you get what you pay for , if its cheap dont expect quality.

I ahev used paddocks for my 90 but i preffer Rimmer Bros, i know they sell alot of britpart crud but you have a clear price comparison and like everyone keep saying you get whaqt you pay for at the end of the day. P.S. sorry if people have had issues with Rimmer Bros im new to the owners club and currenlty at the end stages of my rebuild. :crazy_driver:

Since I last posted on this thread I've has another couple of loads of bits of them, for a brake rebuild and a suspension rebuild in 2013 and nothing's gone wrong. The brackets in the anti roll bar kit to hold the rear roll bar onto the chassis were too big, because I have a TD5 and that has small ones. But that's because I bought a generic kit rather than ordered all the bits separately. So no complaints from me.

Gracious...

Start a new jolly thread rather than bringing summat up from five flipping years since!!!

Pull up your socks and start a new thread constructively criticising somebody off...

Thanks awfully....

Personally paddocks are ok, i go if i'm at my sisters but mail order wise i use foundry at tredegar or simonservices ()local indie) …

:D

I'd only ever use Paddocks service desk - the guy on it really knows his stuff and you can make sure you don't get any s**tpart stuff.

Mail order i'd always use lrdirect.com so you can select your preffered part manufacturer

I bought a half shaft of them but got the wrong one. My fault but they said they would swap it, great I thought!

Now postage for them was about £5 to send me the new one so I was expecting that for return postage but they tryed charging me 15! So I said no and posted it myself and it cost me £5. So that was a tad annoying but other than that I found them quite good but shame it was britpart :(
