You mean an L322 scrapyard.:D:D:D:D
If I could get enough together I could maybe make a good one ?

Hamster, I would change the tensioner and crush washer and really if you are in there I would be rebuilding the vanos with the beisan systems seal kit and the cam chain (not timing chain) tensioner seals, not shown and also vanos solenoid non return valves.
I'm away so can't give you part numbers but they are all shown on the same microcat site

Thanks mate, that's all I needed to know. The beisan seals have arrived and I've decided the chain can be done at the same time, I'm too deep into it now to be worrying about cost so it'll be genuine parts too. Anybody want to buy a kidney?

Yes away again Alan, nothing interesting though.
Errol, When I get back I'll look up my shopping list for when I carry out the inevitable repairs, cam cover seals and gaskets of course, PCV Valve if not done already along with associated pipe work , maybe valley pan gasket....

The inlet manifold has been removed and refitted to aid oil leak diagnosis so Valley pan seals etc all done, PCV was done last year in an attempt to cure a smoking habit, didn't work, the smoke was coming off the exhaust manifold, not out of the pipes lol.
What is the crush washer, is it on the diagram?

I think it's HM2 and sits under the tensioner, it's made of aluminium and seals the tensioner or you will have more oil to clean up. It's shown on one of my posts somewhere when I changed my tensioner, shall I say tensioner one more time, I dare ya, I double dare ya !!

Had a price for everything on the diagram except sprockets (still not sure about the crush washer but have asked to make sure it's included), the cost.... £298 all in from land rover (mechanic has a mate) so that's ordered, just gotta get it all put on now and I might get the car back next week.
It's been on holiday for 2 months now which I think is more than enough rest, looking forward to getting it back.
Thanks all.

You have the timing kit, right?

I know, cheap isn't it. I did get a price myself, it came to about £400 plus VAT for guides, chain, timing chain and cam chain tensioners. He's managed to get a mega discount on the bits and passed the savings on to me cos he's good like that. I'm happy till I get the total bill lol
