hmm, just checked & the recommended price for a 2001 2.5V6 ES is £4,200 for independant dealer & from £3000 (poor) to £4000 (good) private - done a quick search on autotrader & ones with same spec as yours seem to be around £4500 to £5500 - so yours was cheap - personally I would have wondered what was wrong for that price - did you look at others to compare prices / condition etc ?

but dont hang around - get shot fur the best price yu can - or even part ex fur a TD4 - the partex garage mite give yu close to ya 4K and if yu get a TD4 from a garage yu should get a warranty

is the head being checked for warpage? or being skimmed?

No she grey, head was pressure tested and given a clean bill of health

all belts, tentioners, plugs and filters all being changed. seems a shame to say goodbye after such a short space of time and a fair amount of money. But it seems the general concensus is wave hard and invest in td4. Cheers for taking the time help me. J
