200 tdi in a defender sits further back from rad than in a disco ,300 tdi the same
what is it? a disco 200 conversion?
SPCK224C 200 Tdi Discovery > 90/110 Intercooler Kit has a kit made up, or i think you'll need to buy generic silicone hoses from say ebay and knock your own up.
you can buy bends and stuff. see if you can reuse the metal pipes.
Yeah that's why I thought a standard disco or fender setup wouldn't fit properly
Yup
Yeah I saw that but it ain't cheap! Might see what I can do with some silicone hose but it would be a hell of lot easier if I could buy the whole hoses
Since taping the top pipe it had seemed to get better but then it went back to boosting but giving no extra power. Ive replaced the top pipe completely and its still doing it. Reference what trax said, is that relevant for a 300 only or is my 200 turbo the same? Could this be the cause of my problem? Just to reiterate, under acceleration the turbo spools up and can be heard but there is no boost or power whatsoeverfunnily, mine just started surging yesterday (300tdi). if you hold the revs steady when driving they go up and down and i have a lack of power.
i'm thinking split hose, intercooler, etc. will check this weekend.
wolf as well as the split hoses, check the hose running to the fuel pump from the turbo. just wondering if your turbo pressure is ok, but the fuelling (works via pressure) isn't getting enriched at higher revs.
i'm buying a boost gauge next
