Turbo problems - is it deid?

take it out of the tank and have a look at the filter. shouldn't take long to do. might want to see if work has replacement pickups and seals
 
They won't but i know that the bottom of my pickup has the remains of a mesh filter on it. The pipe is easy enough to take off completely though and I'm sure new ones aren't expensive, either that or I could fashion a new mesh strainer to go over the pipe

that's no good, you need the filter on else it'll just clog up again.
 
Well for the time being it seems to have resolved itself. Was a bit iffy on the motorway this morning and couldn't get near 60 but ive changed the fuel filter and, I think, job is a fish. Haven't had the chance yet to get the sender out but that'll be at the weekend.

So! All that carry on was seemingly caused by a fuel blockage. Easy fix and lesson learned :D
