can only tune the pump so much as braket for revs does not come down enuf to lower revs after pump has been tuned lets say you tune pump to max then start up and its over revving then you will need to lower revs down so its were it should be but will onley lower so much.had this problem with my old 19j fender in oct..but i could be wrong as other people be things differntly so you might be able to tune it more ;) other wise put ya foot down.ill get a pic on what i did

the way i done it was like this losen green and yellow 10mm nuts slightly.... then were yellow dot is with arrow pointing to plate move it accross slightly tighten it up start it up and revvs will be higher than normal so the black dot 10mm will need to be tightend up to suit tick over .. you can move yellow dot plate more and more after just so you get the idea.... worked with mine and have another that have done same to '' others may not agree . hope this helps you

Did this ever get anywhere, would be interested in modding mine a little. Also, maybe a silly question, but cant a bigger turbo be bolted on these engines?

You can bolt any turbo on you want ...spec suitable of course you just need to manufacture a conversion block. If you want to see how this sort of thing is done send me a message and I'll send you some pics of what I've done to my 300tdi and everyone said it was impossible 250 + bhp reliable 3000 miles no problems.

You got a build thread any where for that, as I'm thinking of a 300 tdi conversion for the future and am always a sucker for more power
