I hope I am. I planned for August last year, then changed to Xmas, now January (not looking likely at the minute).

Thank you very much, that’s much appreciated. I’m still waiting for the 4 SS bolts I ordered for the upper mount of the Boge unit. Hopefully they arrive this week and it’s another job I can get sorted, when I get back to working on it.
 
Rear axle nearly done, new brakes and drums fitted tonight, once Id got the dog off, don't know why but she loves to climb up and just sit there watching me .
Forgot all about the hubs theve just been stuck in the corner so ordered new bearings and seals then its ready for wheels and new radius arms. then hopefully this time next week I will have a rolling chassis.

Thank You Pony's doing fine, Never go up without the dog since I put my hand in one of the boxes looking for a part and a rat ran out, got the shock of my life. she's nearly 10 years old now but can still nail them, she has done loads of ratting in her time , if there's any about she will find them, even if there under ground she will stand and pinpoint them at near the exact spot.

Really pleased with it, now the Question's I have a good Idea of how to connect the Axles, will have a look at a few more youtube vids and step by step guides. Will be on my own most of the time unless I get really stuck then I can always get help.
By the way I've seen Technically the axles should just roll into place then bolt the arms up, if I lift chassis to correct height. or should I have the springs fitted to axle first, or am I really just guessing all this :confused:
Please remember This is the first time I've done anything like this, just a complete beginner:)

fit radius arms to axle roll that upto chassis, nip radius arm to chassis nuts up then jack chassis up and fit springs

The chassis looks really good in the photos. Are you painting it, or leaving the galv?
 
Thanks Mate, I usually find myself in a Pickle right in middle of trying to do something, so if I need a hand there and then Ive got people close only a phone call away.
But your very welcome to come and see it if your up this way, I've got lights now, got to go up every night to feed the dog anyway.
Think I'm just gonna leave it Galve as Itching to get it rolling, also ran out of funds again to start buying paints ect. I've got brand new suspension too fit as well so plenty to get on with while saving up for more bits.
 
Didn't have much time tonight, so just put the last coat of paint on rear arms ready to fit to axle maybe tomorrow.
Definitely gonna use these Turrets, but although there new they look a bit worse for wear after standing a while. Not sure weather to paint them of see if they will polish up, don't look right against the galvanised chassis.

Thanks Very much Mick, I will see how I get on with them this weekend, Thought mine were totally knackered but they have cleaned up really well, so basically I'm only short of one of these in photo if you have a spare one not sure what there called, then I could get some pipe. Which bit is it you need? I still need to remove all the old axle breathers from mine, so if you want to have a go at cleaning my old ones up, your welcome to them.

I really like satin finish black. However I have completely forgotten to take into account whether or not you are going to paint the chassis. Maybe paint the chassis yellow? Or maybe not. :rolleyes:
