Well, it's all ready to go on tomorrow (eh Oddie?).
All new bearings and oil seals, new discs, caliper pistons and seals, brake pipes and 2 coats of hammerite.

Thanks to Razzle, Sirus and Buster, who couriered it from scouseland to Kernow.
 
Looks like new Trewey! Will try and get over about 1ish if that's OK, and need to get going before 4 but that should be ok i hope (if that's not enough time, i'm around weds as well if needed)

Got the old axle out, but then found that the spring seats were rotten. :mad:
Neither of the local Indys had noo ones in stock, so I've gotta wait till tomorra before I can fit the new one. :mad: :mad:

Yup, pasties hit the spot (all 3 of em!!!) - shame about the missing bits off of the axle though!!

Am down west tomorrow morning and dunno what time i'll be gerrin back but if i'm in time i'll give yer a bell so yer mate dint do himself in properly!
 
Well the fookers in at last!
All seems to be OK on the road test.
Stamping on the brakes now locks up the rear wheels. Might have to add a pressure regulator instead of the T piece to the rear brakes.

Biggest problem fitting it was getting the old brake flexi off (where it goes through the bracket on the chassis). had to get the grinder onto it in the end.

Phew, glad yer got the bugger back in before the weekend! I guess the right plates finally turned up from 4x4 - or is that a project still to do?

That lift kit looks the biz - is the front in place or were you doing an endo on the road test??

Got the correct spring seats in the end. They had one last little dig though - they said they'd be there at 11:00 this morning. I went along at 11:45 and they weren't there. I said I'd wait - they turned up at 12:30.

I shall be doing a separate fred about me noo suspenders tomorra.
 
Fer fecks sake yer pipe werks ****e. An gerra few short lengths of 1/4" bore braided hose an slice em with a Stanley knife an slot em over the brake pipe where the tie wraps are, or yer paint werk or pipes won't last five minits.

I was going to say that, the braided stuff tends to go hard tho, best with rubber fuel pipe instead, as you say cable ties are wicked they eat through everything.

But it's a smashin job.
