If it has ABS it has TC. I have never seen a P38 so fitted but a brake vacuum pump is available for the P38 2.5 TD. So if yours has vacuum servo brakes it will not have TC. But it does have a limited slip centre diff. But not a limited slip diff in the axle. If that helps.

You don't live too far from me and you would be welcome to come and take a look. Mine does have ABS but definately doesn't have TC. It doesn't even show up when they plugged it into T4.

I ask, as I've done much searching on the topic of LSDs and locking diffs in the Landy world. The reason being I compete in ALRC events which only allow factory spec items, nobody runs an LSD that I know of, not even at National events where there are 400 or 500 competitors attending.

If the p38 was available with an axle LSD then people would be over them like hot cakes for trialling.

Contrary to popular belief Land Rover can be helpful at times. I have no idea if it has an LSD only that Land Rover specified it had one due to it not having TC.

Actually, all we've got is your word that you've read it. I would say based on nobody else on planet Earth knowing about an LSD equipped p38a, that the chances are you've either mis-read it or misunderstood what was written.

As you don't have a scanner, could you take pic and upload it instead?

It seems you may be correct. ABS modulator WITHOUT TC. STC 2779. Listed by Rimmers.

I knew I wasn't going mad. It doesn't even have the TC on the dash panel like my 2000 V8 used to have. The V8 used to be always kicking in on the farm but the DSE doesn't even spin the wheels :confused:

I have already worked out that LSD is referring to the centre diff not the axles. Probably a marketing ploy because all P38's had it.
