Wow the standard bumper really isn't up to a lot is it! :(

Nice XS, uncommon colour - mine is Monza Red which is not seen very much at all. Or as my boss calls it ...ginger

Failed on some more rot I had missed, where one of the cats are next to the chassis it has rotted the chassis from the heat. Both front shocks need changing. The horn doesn't work, there is a light bulb out and the emissions are through the roof. Not much really

Seam to have been welding all weekend but will the help of Killajoules it's nearly ready for the retest

I haven't got a picture of the finished chassis, Killajoules has, but this is what it was like before

Just front shocks and the service to do now

Engine flush, full engine service then take it to the MOT down a fast road in a low gear. Can't go far as there is no MOT or tax on it atm

Whats it running like?

I had sky high emissions and really bad consumption on the old 3.9 I had, turned out the lambda sensors, AFM, and coolant temp sensor were all goosed, after that lot was sorted it ran better than ever and achieved around 18mpg driven sensibly ;)

If after your thrashing the emissions are still high get that little lot swapped out all at once, piece meal only prolongs your suffering ;)

Half way through the day Stus welder developed a fault, the wire wlded itself into the sheath, so we ruched to mine and picked up my old Cebora which more than adequatly filled the gaps.
