The reason for the Rangy being shifted out of the barn

yny8ubu9.jpg

Goes out as fast as it comes in so might have it back indoors in a few weeks.

That's a fair few tonnes. Are you sure you swept all the important bits up?

Some poor bugger may end up with the speedo screens in his loaf otherwise :-D

Ye, the barn got power washed. It was full to the top of the walls and upto the roller door at one point, 25 artic bulkers later and it's all gone, that heap is gone all bar 20tone but the other side is heaped with OSR which will be gone by Wednesday , will shift the wheat and put few hundred ton of Barley in for a couple of days then it's empty again.

Its been good weather at last, Bet you have hardly seen your little Jack!

Just to cheer you up Stu, 4th Synchro has also given up in the 110

The good news is that Chipperfield have finally got the goahead from LR Warranty to rebuild the box in house. So tomorrow morning I will be taking it over, thats why the 80" was outside this morning so I could get to work.

BTW I appreciate the farmers out there will be working Weds night but I am hoping to be at the pub that night.

Ye saw the 80, corsa missing as well. Finished work at 9 tonight. Only got 200 acres left to subsoil then 450acres to plough in 2 weeks. Finished combining on Monday so all is going well. Will try and make next months pub meet if we are not drilling so might be November.

Quick update for you all. Hopefully I will be back on the Rangy soon, just spent a few hundred on parts that were on the need list, and from on the wish list :D. Poking about at work and found a nice shed that that would make a great workshop so in talks with the bosses if I can have it (I asked if I can have it and pay rent, they have yet to decide how much) so hopefully will have it finished and on the road in March April next year, maybe 2015  no deadline now so want to finish it properly and not cut corners. Then hopefully can buy the 88" I have always wanted.

Bit of a update, workshop agreed with the boss, half the size of the one I wanted but it's FREE :D bit of work to get it ready but got some big ideas and will do most of it in work time.

4.5/4.5m square, doors and windows fitted and hardcore yard :D

Watch this space for updates.

Just like the one I had on my mates farm, I paid a bit of rent and did all his welding for him. Good luck with that, looks great.
I have great respect for your body work renovation, just been doing some rust on the cills of the old R11, never welded anything much thinner than 3mm before with an arc welder, my work doesn't look too good but it seems strong, never too old to learn.

Thanks for that, hopefully won't take long to finish now.

The wifes jap donkey dragger is up for mot so though I should investigate the bubbling on the wing.

Never done any filler work before, didn't come out to bad.

Lol looks like you are having fun there. While on Sundays road trip with dom, I asked him if he needed a new light stalk for s3. At this point I realised that he thought it was just the indicators not for dipping headlights

Not bad for my first attempt at body filling, few air bubbles and not very flat sanding but ok for a £600 jap towing truck, oh and yes I have painted it the wrong colour but I don't care, if it passes its mot on Thursday then I might repaint the wing, but only if she winges lots. But if she moans to much I will paint the whole wing the wrong colour :D

After much head scratching and fiddling i have realised my lights work after Jules told me i had to flick the stalk

Dont i feel silly

Got some pics that Killajoules has taken when helping me out. I missed taking pictures at this time but it was the last push at the end of July to get it out of the shed before harvest. This is the state it is in now, its just nestled under the tarp :violin:
