I think it will get a very good response. We can name all they hiding places
and print pictures of them.

They are real low life and deserve verbal abuse from the public(some of them
deserve physical abuse).

Where's that town where they don't have traffic wardens ?

it was in the Saturday papers - was it heaven ?

NO - it was sheer hell , ambulances, fire engines could not get through
even the small shopkeeper who always slags them off blaming them for loss of
trade wanted them back

They are just out to claw as much money out of the motorist, as possible.
They are all get a percentage of the money from the tickets.

They don't, actually, at least not round here... parking attendants, that
is.

A bloke I new a few years ago was a traffic warden. In Benfleet it was.

The council had this sort of daft idea that if you gave out a ticket you
had done your job wrong. They reckoned a big part of his job was not to
leave the obstruction parked in the high street all day for a fee but to
stop them stopping in first place or shift them on if discovered. A bit
different in Camden I'll grant you but I thought the idea had merit.

Aye.

Only today, I paid one off that I'd strung out for as long as possible.
Bastards - you don't go to court as such any more; in my case, I was made to
sit in front of some old **** with letters after his name, as he
'adjudicated' the matter.

Anyway, one of my mates SO works for the local council in the capacity of
'Parking Attendant', and told me that they at least, are all on a wage which
doesn't attract any bonuses related to amount of tickets handed out or the
revenue raised etc.

They do benefit from being able to use their discretion if they know your
car though... ;-)

According to her, even her department is astounded sometimes at the end
result of an 'adjudication', as the stuffed shirts in question appear to
interpret the law and circumstances in any which way they see fit.

I think it should be run entirly on a bonus system where wardens are
paid no salary but get say £3 for every ticket they issue and -£10 for
every ticked they issue that gets cancelled, that way at least they have
an incentive to look for the residence permit on my bike or to actually
learn the local parking restrictions.

I've posted it before, so I won't repeat all of it, but in Santiago,
Chile, traffic wardens actually *help* motorists find parking places and
look after their motahs for them. Feed the meter for them, too. All in
exchange for a little tip when happy motorist returns.

City gets max revenue from meters, motorists know their cars are being
watched in case any low-life appears and wardens make a bit extra on the
side. So everyone's happy.

Why is it ****ers always use "sir" or "lord" in their nym ?
is it like driving a sports car with a Long Red Bonnet ?
something to do with their feelings of inadequacy ?

Of course people are queuing up to be traffic wardens with their generous
profit sharing schemes (not) - DUH
