The mechanics I can do at little cost, body work is expensive and beyond my capabilities.Bodywork can be done anytime, i'd say being mechanically straight is more important

Panels and doors can still be sourced cheaply enough on the bay of E (In UK atleast). Straight swaps are well within range for the mechanically minded. My rear door is crumpled in and the handle plays up. I have seen a whole door for £40, cheaper than fixing the handle and no expensive bodywork repairs or sprayingThe P38 I'm restoring is much scruffier than the red one
looks really smart.
Thanks Henry. The Cayenne is dirty as anything.. just a couple more jobs to do on the L322.. expansion tank t stat and some paint chips then I can crack on with the P38. Now it's getting warmer
It's the front cover needs doing. I've had the P38 nearly 10 years. And it's still strong as an ox, that drips water.Yep temps are rising, thank god!!
Bet the 4.2 s/c is a hoot to drive, they certainly sound nice
Can't wait to see your P38 progress!

Aye don't get rid..Yes its been a diamond. really has.. everything works from heated seats to sat nav. I've been through it with Arnott Gen 2 head gaskets heater matrix. I really don't want to sell it
Yes I saw a couple of years back a P38 with an MOT could be got for 1200-1500 I've seen sorted ones up for 8k !
With viable resto classics gone now the P38 has been the next to pop.
It really owes me nothing now.. in fact I owe it. going to get the leather cleaned some paint touch ins done and it can join the collection next to the Suffix A and the CSK which I intend to get back underway this year
Shame about the tree growing out the bonnet though !Still shines up well for an old paintjob..
Still needs a respray though
Found a nice surprise under the rear seats today..
Although out of date i have the map set with euro maps and the 2013 maps..
That is a problemShame about the tree growing out the bonnet though !
