So you've had her a while thenHow time marches on.View attachment 168270
Yes, Portofino, very elegant.
Wish now I hadn't lost her. Serious rot despite the good looks, steering box and pump knackered and a tired engine, and no money to sort it. Sold for 500 in late 2010. The MoT expired 30/3/11 and there's no road tax record so I guess she's gone Lovely for the two years I owned her.
I can sort of understand thatDaft thing is, as beautiful and comfortable as she was to drive, I never felt as 'at home' in her as I do in a Landy
I think I have the best compromise now, a solid 90 3.5 V8 auto, a Landy with almost the power, quietness and refinement of a RRCI can sort of understand that
You're more the Landy type I'd love a nice series II 109 with the 2.6 IOE
Hmm..
A 90 with a V8 now that's a combo made in heaven!I think I have the best compromise now, a solid 90 3.5 V8 auto, a Landy with almost the power, quietness and refinement of a RRC
She's a converted 2.5P LT77 (blatant plug: https://www.chichester4x4.co.uk) with a 92 Disco1 3.5 hotwire efi and an 89 RRC ZF4HP22.A 90 with a V8 now that's a combo made in heaven!

She drives better than my previous factory 90 3.5 carb to efi, and factory 110 3.9 efi transplant (both LT85s).
Knocking wood and making blood sacrifices to the JLR gremlins...
Ahh she'll be alright!!
All Simple pimple compared to Range Rovers
