The Lake District National Park Authority website has lists of BOAT and UCR vehicle rights of way (113 km in total!) Lake District National Park Authority - Green Road Driving .
Most of us do far more dangerous things than solo greenlaning, every day - like driving down an A road where there is a very real possibility of having a head on collision with a combined speed of 120 mph. Although I suppose there is a greater risk of having some kind of accident green laning, I think I'd much prefer to have a gentle roll into a ditch at 5 or 10mph.
Would you still be saying that if it was a water filled ditch the width of your landy so you cant get out and your vehicle is fast filling up with muddy water?
I regularly go out solo-greenlaning in Wales and so far I have never got stuck, because I get out and look at tricky sections and tend to avoid driving down a lane that I can see I might have trouble reversing out of - It's not a big deal!
It's generally the easy looking sections that catch most people out. Plain old wet grass is the most common.
