You get what you pay for I suppose. If a genuine front cam seal is 12 quid with the vat and you see one for half the price there is a chance it could be ****e and cause more problems than its worth.
Its not worth the double labour cost, to remove/refit, to skimp on quality parts.
Last guy prolly had a nervous breakdown.
Demand what you ordered. Either that or a resolution should mean you get a massive discount. Defo raise an issue.

Could quite easily be a Britpart supplied GKN unit...
What did you pay for it?
As far as i know, apart from the Bailey Morris props all these modern wide angle units are the same, irrespective of who supplies them.
I can't remember what I paid but I guess it was somewhere between 100 and 150, I know I bought the cheapest I could find on eBay, and tbh it has been just fine, just replaced my first UJ after about a year of use...
Cheers
even genuine parts fail ,it will be no different to a gkn prop bought from anywehere else, genuine parts from dealer arent more expensive because there better than oem from anywhere else its just profit ,ive seen what lr actually paid for parts 12 years ago and the mark up is colossal
James, in your experience are the Bailey Morris units superior to the GKN?
