Td5 head ??

Hi there new on this page got a 2001 disco td5... the top hose goes solid after 5mins of running and stays solid... also quite alot of bubbling in header tank... are these signs of head/head gasket cheers dom..

Yeah it’s not to difficult, if you can find either a good 2nd hand head or buy new amc one.

Whats likely hood of head being ok an just a new gasket.. sorry for questions cheers dom

It could just be gasket but if the car has overheated then likely to have warped head. If head they generally crack inside exhaust port so not repairable. Once head is removed have it pressure tested to confirm diagnosis
