TD5 EGR Removal

HI Guys, Finally got round to fitting the EGR removal kit and cat by-pass pipe from TD5 Alive,

Wow! now my disco really moves, I can not beleive baiscally 2 straight pieces of pipe can make so much difference

. The car now pulls from around 1000rpm right up to the rev limiter in forth gear, overtaking is now no longer a heart stopping moment, but a grin enhancing experience, even the misses is impresed

I can only recommend this modification to any one considering it, or wants a TD5 to perform how it should have left the factory.

You have any probs fitting it? I think the TD5 Alive one is pretty well made. Some people have issues undoing the bolts and end up shearing heads off them!

No problems in fitting the EGR kit, but when I fitted the De-cat pipe I sheared off all but one of the cross member bolts and both exhaust flange bolts, so it took about 3 hrs to fit the pipe with several choice words

If you think it's good now take it back to Gary at TD5 Alive and get him to remap it then you'll really see what a TD5 can do the difference is amazing.

I'm still toying with going for a kit from TD5 Alive. Gotta save up though!

Hi guys, I don't know about all this technical stuff apart from what I have read on LZ. Take a look at this site and see what you think I was going to call them but they charge a helluva lot less than £995.

Any thoughts would be a great help.

Dynachip profesional ecu remapping

1. K&N air filter - £24.50+vat from Paddocks:
K and N Filter - TD5 - Discovery 2

2. Remap from Dynachip - £250 inc vat

3.De-EGR kit from Paddocks £22.50+vat:
EGR Blanking Kit - all TD5

4. Performance intercooler - £324+vat

5. 1 set of silicone hoses £59.50+vat

6. Can't find an alternative for the turbo booster thingy.

But this list totals £640 plus vat, that's nearly £360 or 35% cheaper !!!

Ps Mike at Dynachip remapped mine and it really lovely to drive now, well worth the £225 (eu3) that it cost to have done.
