Hi guys sorry if this has been covered before and thanks for all the help in advance to cut long story short I changed my tailgate window mechanism the full thing cables and motor on my freelander 1 the problem is it all works fine but when putting the window up I have to push the window inwards at the top or the window will hit the black plastic surround how do I adjust the window so it will clear it at the top cheers Tj

it may be the angle of the regulator guide rails. did you miss out / drop any washers when you took it out / put it back ?

you could try packing out the top two bolts with a washer between the regulator rail and the inside of the tailgate outer door skin, this may angle the assembly in enough to clear the trim strip
 
hi the rails move in and out on the mounting bolts as you do up the bottom bolt the rail top moves out so turn antclockwise did mine friday
 
Hi thanks for the replay could you tell me what you mean by the mounting bolts are these the bottom two large ones many thanks Tj
