Had a look and it just indicates I’m in high gear , nothing mentioned about suspension dropping at motorway speeds, so indeed all in ma head ;);):D

Back to square one, where was we,, lol
 
My l322 just sits at normal hight sat in traffic even with engine off, doesnt lower unless I press the button, maybe its doing what its suppose to and your previous car was wrong.
Nope, mine always lowered slightly when a sat idol for a period of time, when a pause became a wait!! It was only when the compressor became lazy this changed. I think If you check the manual this is what is suppose to happen with the L322. There are probably threads on here you can check. I had a brand new compressor fitted and it went back to normal.
 
Like I said one of the more knowledgeable can explain it better. However, mine does 'drop ' as described when stopped for a time. It feels almost as if she 'rests'.The drop you notice on motorway, should be accompanied by the motorway light going on. If the D3 has such a thing. It's the left hand image on the photo below

This is exactly what mine did, normal function.
