Hi :cool2:
My disco has been unable to lift into normal driving height since May (it is in the dropped height position), so it's been mostly sitting on the drive since then. It did raise up for a few days, after it had been left for about 2 months, then went back to the dropped height.
Our local dealer says the compressor got wet (I took it to the car wash in March as I was thinking about selling), so maybe it got wet this way....?
I'm about to buy a new air suspension pump compressor (for the 2nd time in 18m!)....however, a friend told me that she has a kit on her disco (same year/model), that keeps it in 4x4 height, and it never drops, ever. Is she right, is there such a kit? If so, what is it called? Do I still need to buy a new compressor? Could I dry out the old compressor and keep as a spare? I have googled like a loon, and can't find any of the info I'm looking for....
Thanks, Vic.

Notaclue .. but if it's been stood since May, why not remove the compressor and have a go at refurbing it?

Have you had anyone connect it to a Nanocom or similar to get any possible error codes from it?

Thanks for your reply Paul, it's been to the dealer and hooked up to their computer, the only thing they could find was that the compressor had got wet.
I had thought about trying to DIY but didn't think it would be possible - I didn't even know where the compressor was until I asked the garage, lol!

they should have ran circuit tests on all the valves and compressor...the tester doesnt know if it's wet or not, only if it works or not...check fusible link FL9 in the engine bay and relay R5(swap with R3-headlamp wash for test)...those dealer s are muppets:mad:... u can remove the compressor and give it direct feed to see if it runs or not

see this Sls compressor repair - Land Rover Forums : Land Rover and Range Rover Forum

u can use these untill u fix it Air Suspension emergency Air Valves 4mm OD Discovery 2 | eBay
just put them into the air spring's push fit connector and use a tyre inflator untill it's on a desired height)...if the bags are good it will stay up for long

or if you want to put your mind to rest u can use a Tmax compressor together with this kit http://www.partsrover.com/index.php..._id=20&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1&lang=en

Thanks for that sierrafery, I think that's the kit my friend mentioned, yay!

Hubby did say I'd get more advice from land rover lovers, over the dealers and he was right, thanks ;)

If the air pillows are shot or leak, it may pay to fit rear springs. Its a fairly simple opperation and you wont need the air compressor. Only thing is you will need to get the garage to use their diagnostic machine to tell the onboard computer that it is no longer running on air suspension. hope this helps had a similar problem with mine.

Hi deuce, thanks for that....I've now bought the faskit, however once installed, if the disco is still not rising properly I will ask the garage to check over the springs too :)
ETA, would this be the correct spring RKB101200....I will be using a local (non-LR) garage, and buying any future parts online to keep the costs down.
