driving to the pub earlier with amanda and alice i noticed i only had about half lock going right - so ive managed to do something to the steering without knowing about it and i havent the foggiest where i did it. and im driving to wales tomorrow

bollocks - will be up early tomorrow checking that out then!

Most likely that cliff face on the penultimate lane. You would gave noticed it earlier otherwise.
Thanks again, hammy, for the lift. You done good. Are you saykng that yo suspension dont work proper now - or never did?

Most likely happened at that cliff, that's where i did my steering the time before. I've looked at it 3 times now and still can't work out why my steering wheel position has changed, everything drives fine and no signs of anything bent or out of place, but there is something that has change since launching of the cliff.

It does work now, but it takes its time to get to highest setting. Will look at compressor and pipes etc when i get the chance.

hmm, potentially, but unlike the last time it was a controlled descent. all nice and gentle, no bumps, or bit hits, or any discernable loud / breaking noises from inside at least. dunno if you guys heard anything hit from outside?

got one arriving today! should have been there on friday - ****ers dispatched a day late, so didnt get there for laning, and now looks like i may have damaged it

sods law once more

That POOR car :rolly:What have you done to it this time?

Looks like you had fun anyhoo!

Carpy I've not known you long but you have to be the only person I know that can destroy a 110 at almost every outing. Even some of my oldest friends that managed to blow up 11 diffs in a year had a higher success rating for trips out/broken stuff. (Although when he drove off his drive for a trials comp and the rear end of his Rangie stuck up in the air made me giggle, his propshaft decided to come de-attached from the Diff)!

I really would find out what you did before you drive it anywhere.

Screwy, I'll be out and about but I'm keeping my mota clean till Derbyshire. Spent a week cleaning it and still mud is falling off. Fitted my Aircon pump for onboard air (Mislaid the bloody tensioner) and am in the proces of picking up and overhauling a set lower ratio axles (inc Salisbury Rear) to get my low range back to being half decent for Derbyshire aswell as lowering my high range to get 5th gear back. I'va also committed myself to a few comp safaris and trials between now and Derbyshire.

Whaddon would be fun next weekend but I have already made plans to finnish off and take my 1:10 Landy out for a blast so I can destroy that without possibly causing any damage that would mean missing out on the Derbyshire trip. Jai

jai, i lightly tapped the steering, all sorted and nice now.

yup all sorted, typing from wales as we speak. im here till tomorrow evening - why?

looking at the vid your descent was pretty controlled, in fact how did you get down so slowly ??

there was a little more grip then the other week, but i guess it was just low range, diff, and let it do its own thing. took a slightly differant line as wel. all in all i was very pleased with it though, now i wanna go up it!

sorted! and yup was very good fun as i think all would agree

next installment from Carpy..............

"front prop shaft is dead, thanks to the housing shearing, and im in wales "

i kid you not its ****ing nuts! it just went! new prop is no bad thing though. i think the landy may be feeling the effects of not being properly serviced post its morocco trip with the last owner, so after 17th of june when i have loads of time i will do some serious overhauling i think in preparation for the mot
