By the way, if the police aren't doing anything. Go stand outside the house, ring 999 and say you went around to ask politly for the landy back, and he pulled a gun. They'll be there in minutes.
If you know where the Land Rover is, the first job is to go and recover it, before it gets sold/taken apart etc. The thief can then be "dealt with" later.
Do you know where the vehicle actually is? If so can't you just go round with a couple of mates and drive it away?
I don't know where the Landy is - I do know where the guy who took it lives , its not at his home address. Police have asked him in to answer some "questions " early next week but he's had over a week to set himself up.
Just something else you may want to check - since my landy was stolen I have been watching several Birmingham E Bay sellers selling parts/ like wings bonnets A frames etc and Landy's. Since the guy was contacted by the police they have all "gone" for over a week now. It could be just this guy working on his own OR it could be much bigger - if the police don't take it further then it will keep happening.
I have handed the police some totally concrete evidence - what they do with it is looking less optimistic by the second.
IF nothing comes out of the interview I will post a message then P M more information to members who want to know more. It wont be the end of it from my point of view.
This guy took my Landy - I think he sold/dismantled it before he dumped my belongings, Number plates & VIN plate. Once the car was gone he got rid of anything else to link him to my Landy - He did make a big mistake though but its up to the police what happens next. Its not like they are looking for a Range Rover sport of top of the range sports car - its a 13 year old Defender. To me a thief is a thief.
i would when i'm hammeredBy this point you would expect the police to be pulling over any landys that they spot driving between say midnight and 7am. I would have no objections to getting pulled over if it was in the attempt to stop my landy being nicked.
