Stolen Defender N792 Wof. Reward £££££

I would when I'm out looking for wimmin to hammer

I have info that could tie this theft into being the work of a gang - like I said before, around 5 Birmingham sellers on e Bay,all have nothing for sale at the moment. normally these guys are selling everything and anything from landrovers. A couple of them were selling blue body parts a few weeks ago - then a GREEN Landy (much like mine) I have now checked the paperwork for the Landy with DVLA and it says this Landy is blue - a couple of the interior pics showed the inside to be green too. The body was in great nick for an E reg Also it looks like there should have been 3 seats in the front not 2 - check out item number 220378382155 see what you think. Also interesting about this one, it was sold on the 22nd March - my belongings and plates etc were dumped on the 23rd March. At the time I was almost believing that my car was stolen to order for shipping abroad, this is what the police told me - it was 5 weeks since my car had disappeared I was actually starting to accept that this was what could have happened. While I was still looking on E Bay Auto trader etc didn't think my car was in the country.
Once my stuff appeared It was too late to see the one above, I arranged to go look at another (260383146192) -this guy was also selling a white roof like the one on my Landy.Both should have finished on30/3 - taken off on 26/3. He sent e bay message to say it was sold (not what it says on E Bay)
I have given West Mercia police all the info I found including colour photos, and the transactions history's for the sellers I was watching, I have tried to very subtly suggest that this could be a much bigger crime than just my Landy - perhaps it would be worth a closer look? could be a Blue Peter badge for someone? Don't think the WPC is too impressed with me being so persistent. Actually I don't care - what do we pay our council tax for?
Just waiting for the police to question the guy who took my Landy in a couple of days time.
I want him to burn in Hell - we cant always get what we want but there's no harm in trying.

if that vehicle was actually an E reg then it wouldn't have the word 'defender' plastered all over it!

the seller has paid for euro number plates on ebay too!

and how many weeks ago were yer telt to go an ava look at it?

If it was an E reg as it states, the defender badge wouldn't be on the bonnet, the Boost alloys wouldn't fit and the side repeaters would be long thin ones and not the late type long fat ones.

The colour of the roof and side panels is different to the rest of the landy.

The rear cross member is from a later era as you can see the rings around the jacking holes. (On the early ones they weren't showing).

The rear lights (indicators and tail) are one piece lights instead of having seperate lenses.

The dash guages and steering wheel are consistant with the age of the vehicle but the shiny insulation in the back of the engine bay isn't.

It does appear to have an LT77 gearbox fitted going by the gearknob though.

Someone should have emiled him up and said, is there any history beind it, I can see it has a new chassis and this and that and the next thing and see what the guy had to say about it. Almost as if you were simply an enthusiast interested about the vehicle.

so why didnt ya arrange a viewing ? if i thought for one minit it could be my land rover i would be arranging a viewing and sure as hell made sure i kept the appointment. there are all ways marks that stick out in your mind that wouldnt be obviouse to some one else.

It could haunt me for the rest of my life, it was five weeks after my Landy went - I was startin to believe the police's theory about shipped abroad, since realised - if they use this excuse for all Landy thefts they never have to get of their arses and go looking..... I wasn't looking on E bay as often as I had done for the first month. It was making me ill spending days and nights looking at cars & parts - felt a bit like looking at dismembered body parts "could that be my dashboard / right wing/ middle seat etc" one of the guys on the forum did e mail about this car the night before it was due to finish. On the 22nd (day the auction finished) I was doing the 5th out of 6 cricket coaching sessions to teach the kids team, a course my club paid for months before. Kickin myself now!
The guy who took my Landy has to answer questions at the police station this week Something connected with Landrovers with this B*****ds name and address on was with my stuff, like a burglar leaving a calling card! the police have taken over 2 weeks to get him in. The landy probably is the other side of the world by now.

I am still waiting for the CPS to decide if they will prosecute the guy who took my car. I find it increasingly frustrating to think that this animal is 10 miles from my home yet if I touch him or his property I could loose everything - this guy takes one of the most precious things in my life, leaves his name and address and MAY get away with it!!!.
When I gave the police the evidence I found they fully supported me and said they think this guy took it BUT car crime takes a much lower priority than assaults etc so every time one of these occurs car thefts go down the priority list again. My case has been passed on to the CPS but it could take months.
I have sort of thought of a few things I CAN STILL DO if the CPS dont prossecute but at the moment I could jeapordise things if I do anything.

No Car - I gave the police the info on the 2 cars I thought could have been mine - they didnt investigate untill they were both gone, One was taken off Ebay the other sold to an export company. I sent 3 e mails through E Bay asking the company to check the vehicle I D against the Landy they bought but no reply. Thanks for your support. Martyn

im guesing the one sold 2 an export company was yours as its now in a foreign county and sadly your never gonna get it back sorry 2 hear that mate.
