starting trouble p38 4ltr

hi ive not been on for a while cos the rangie p38 4ltr has been behavin itself but now its acting up when i go to start it it winds over for ages before it fires when it do'es it runs fine starts ok untill i leave it 20 mins then it winds over for ages again i havent got much hair left now any ideas pls i live in chesterfield derbyshire thanks:mad:
 
no faults showing so going to try leads , plugs and so on this weekend got to be worth a try if it dos'nt improve will have to bite the bullet and take it to be diagnosed thanks for taking time to reply
 
If it`s a lack of sparks then cranking it over is gonna make it worse as battery slowly discharges...? Plugs will be wet and thus even less likely to fire up...? So quick check to look for a spark (one wet finger up HT lead and firmly grip earth while assistant cranks starter!!!). Then suitably charged with energy start looking for fuelside problem.
Anyone following above advice does so at their own risk, and should remove heart pacemakers first.
