how can you get bored with a auto mix cup!
You gona run a small tank for the air?

Lolz hours of fun :p

Yeah I've got a 9 litre stainless fire extinguisher knocking about I did some work on it a year or so ago but never managed to finish it with a suitable fitting, so watch this space.

Otherwise will have to get tank(s)

Want to carry plenty of air so I can use air tools :)

Now this I'm very interested in them arb compressors are so expensive

Nice one mate yeah they are, used to use ARB comp and had this just for tyres, seemed a waste to carry it about, never got used cos it was buried.

With proper OBA I will use more often too.

Gonna fit inline oiler and hope for the best regards longevity :)

What you could do (what I did).. have a Y/T off the tank, one is an un regulated un oiled output and 1 is a regulated oiled output.
That way you get the best of both worlds.

It doesn't look that different, externally, to my T-max, though mine's not the double header ..

Might take mine apart, I don't usually take new stuff apart till it breaks, but this could be an interesting comparison.

Mind, so much extra to do before North Yorks ... doubt I'll have time to do it properly.

Oiler will be fitted after filter before compressor, it's sole function is to lubricate the piston rings

Where did you get all your bits and bobs from? Find anywhere good?

Hi paul

They're pretty simple

I noticed the t max is a larger unit albeit single cylinder, I expect the cylinder capacity to be larger on the tmax because the output is very good

However the benefit of a twin cylinder is, as with anything, the cylinders are 180° opposed so airflow will be more smoothly and perhaps efficiently provided

Taking stuff apart before breakage is the answer

Often you find ways to prevent breakage by working out how something works :)

I would really like AC compressor conversion but I don't want to run the engine for air.

Also, engine might be broken down and i could use the air to work on it!

If I have problems with output in future I will work on a tandem system I guess.

For the rings in the compressor or/and in the tools?

All my bits are accumulated over time (hoarding) and mainly the bay of the e.

No monster progress at the moment to be honest, just tackling the monster task of gathering all the parts I need to sort this out, so many different things going on at one time :jaw:

Anyway compressor bits painted, assemble tomorrow:

Transfer case cleaned up, parts solvent washed, casings polished:

Have today secured an aircon pump and brackets setup for the mechanical air pump build, pics to follow on that :)
