decided its about time i put to use the welder the missus bought me for Crimble last year. Victim? The sad state Rangey i bought for spares but dont have the heart to kill.

I realise the repairs i do to her will outweigh the costs in the long run and i realise i dont need two rangeys but what the hey, i need project to add to the many i already have!

I started cutting bits off today only to reveal the deeper i go the deeper the sadness is revealed!!!

On the last photo after i took it i chased the weld seam up with my finger and got another 6 inches of soft brown flakes!! Yikes!

I had been looking for Box section 60x100x1500 on fleabay and the cheapest i could find it was about £75 (with postage to the Highlands)

Then i remembered about the little old man with his workshop out in the sticks near my garage. He only had 60x120 but he cut me two bits the right length for £25! Bargain!! :D:D:D

Best i start learning how to weld then!

Lol. I gots two sill/inner sill assemblies here. Removed them from my scrap RRC. They were brand new when I fitted them 3 years ago. Cut the whole lot out and kept them.
