Shock horror, more work than I thought!!

Been leaving it too long, but knew the N/S rear body mount needed attention. Ordered some parts from Easy On and thought I would do both sides while at it. After taking the rear bumper off, the rear cross section body was looking a bit religious, very holy!!!

Didnt want to drop the tank so cut the top section out so I can get to it. Sorry, didnt take photo before I started but will do as work progresses.

Welder packed p soon after so stopped play!!

I cat believe I started this thread i October. Finally got the welder fixed, Xmas out of the way alog with rather alot of other chores to recommence battle. Managed to get the local welder to do the body mounts as wasnt very cofident in my own ability. Then got on with putting the body panels back together. As is often pointed out.....welding does generally need two sheets of metal to be loined together. So weldig rust or fresh air does make it harder.

Looking good Shaun I must start on my boot floor ' n' look at mine while I'm at it, not sure I really want to though hate to think what I mite find
 
Been putting off doing mine ,even thought of buying another as there so cheap but most will be as rusty as mine so if i can get my srs light and headlights sorted il start the welding !
