Pinion off

New bearing race sorted out









Got the new pinion off then remembered I hadn't put the bearing onto the shaft.......







Little bit later with the new front housing on.....got to put some RTV on it later and bolt together fully as its only held together with a few now

is that stuff oil,grease proof?

TIGER SEAL urethane sealant and adhesive can be used on
the following surfaces:-
• Steel, aluminum, brass, iron.
• Fiber Glass. • Most plastics.
• Glass.
• Wood.
• Ceramics.
• Paint.
Surfaces should be clean and dry and free from
grease.

now he has is v8 running and killed 3 or 4 in the process, now he is concentrating his efforts on killing gearboxes and using sealant that don't seal against grease and oil top work doc
 
Tiger seal is fine. Now stop clogging up the thread with your bull****


don't know mind, it's not designed to be resistant to oil. (edit: looks like it will be fine though)

for my peace of mind, i'd take it off and use rtv or hylomar blue.

also, it does look pretty thick. ideally you want as thin a coating as you can get away with, else it will squeeze out and possibly drop inside.

but remember it is used as an over paintable glue for sticking body panels together.
