Need advice here, ive been grinding away the rust at the back of the chassis and more and more rot is showing itself
with so many naff weld patches already having been done, and so many needing doing, is it worth biting the bullet and buying a large rear section of the chassis? Paddocks for example have the rear 1/4 for 250 quid, which is a pain as am trying to save as much as possible but the chassis needing saving wasnt good before the rust got to it, any thoughts needed

Massive patch is most of the back end, not much original chassis there
Bottom of the rear X member left side is flaked up and rotted out
More cracks need seeing to adjoining the false X member
This isnt even straight!
More messy weld patches
Basically anything behind the gearbox X members is nasty, the front is golden, oil leaks do serve a purpose
