Right...what a great day!!!

Who got done by Salisbury plain mud?
Me and fat boy started to overheat on the bill after Solcistice services and by the time we Stoped on the layby his 90 was ****ing steam..

Got a hand from someone I can't remember, btw do use a brush to get mud off the rad, and we limped home, but drove past a few land rovers caked in mud and bonnet open..

By the time we got to Andover we had to stop again at Shell and this time give the rads a proper wash...

All in all, a great day out

It's always handy to carry a wire brush, mine overheated just up the road and around every 20 miles after that bloody mud. Thanks to series71 for organising the trip and a big thank you to WLM and mud 4 it for taking the group out and the cake was spot on, cheers. Hope to do it again soon, thanks again.

Was a great day today and thanks to all that were involved!!

I went straight the the first services and spent 20 mins cleaning my intercooler and rad out :-0
Then as I set off I must of seen at least 1 landrover in EVERY layby for 7-10miles.

Thanks for a great day, thanks to all who organised it, pikey & minty for leading the group and 110women and mrs s for cake :)

Looks like some of you have now realised why Salisbury Plain mud has gained such notoriety
Sets like concrete to rads and intercoolers, destroys alternators, gets in past stub axle seals to create grinding paste in wheel bearings, destroys prop UJs......been there, done that, got bored fixing it, learnt from it :p:D

BTW, tasty cup cakes make fantastic earmuffs for noise cancellation (DrewFM) :p :D

Just to add my thanks to all the leaders for putting in the effort; to Boomer for leading our group; to MHM for lending me a cb and helping me appreciate the value of not having one when Drew is in your group:D. Even Katie drew the line at his rendition of Sponge Bob

The cake, as ever, was delicious, and overall the day was tremendous.

Got home safely, none of the horror stories experienced by others with the Salisbury clay, although the pressure washer will no doubt be working overtime tomorrow.
